Great Western Runners

Thank you for your support over the 2013 outdoor season. The beginning of the season wasn’t looking too promising after suffering a stress fracture in my shin during the indoor season which was still causing me problems into May. But in my third race out I gained a PB in the 200m, my weaker event and continued to improve over the commencing weeks, as a result this has been my best outdoor season to date with a total of eight PB’s, five in the 200m and three in the 100. In my last competition of the season I also gained the title of U20 100m south west inter-counties champion and did well to get a silver medal in the 200m running my second fastest time of the season over this distance.

Again thank you for your support, Alyssa Small

And from Alyssa’s coach:

Would like to say thank you for your support the funding you gave to Alyssa it was a massive help with covering her medical costs and as a result she improved over the 200m from 27.0 to 25.67 and over the 100m 12.80 to 12.62.   Next season were aiming to go even faster and with the support of the Arthur Dagger Memorial fund there's a high chance of achieving this goal and bringing her a step closer to compete at the 2016 Olympics Trials.
